Unless you are building a non profit site, you will want to earn money from your website.

You can do this by displaying ads, selling products and services, or earning commissions by recommending products (this is called affiliate marketing).

You can build up a mailing list of people who are interested in what you have to offer and market to them. This is call email marketing.
