Integration of Assets onto Web Platform

This entry is part 6 of 11 in the series Web Course Design

Once all the files/ assets have been produced, it is time to upload them to the hosting server.

If you are not using any CMS or LMS, it is just a matter of purchasing a domain name (eg. www.yourcoursename.com) and hosting like Hostgator (which we use to host this site), and uploading the files to make it live.

If you are using a web platform ie. and LMS or CMS, you may need to create the pages via the platform itself or upload the previously created HTML files and other assets.

If the LMS allows you to create quizzes/ assessments via its admistration panel, you can go ahead and create those too as per the storyboard.

If you have not used an LMS or CMS, you might have planned to supplement the web page content with interactivity via quizzes, forums, chats etc. These can be installed on the hosting server. The links on the web pages pointing to them will then need to be updated.
