Establishing Expert Status
Article marketing helps you in establishing expert status. Here are some tips to help you in this:
- Write about your topic and do it often. You can do this on your site, for article directories, as a guest blogger etc.
- Get others to link to you by creating great content, doing link exchanges, and gaining readership.
- Write a newsletter and encourage readers to forward it to other interested parties.
- Offer advice and post to related message boards and communities online that are directly related to your topic.
- Create a squidoo lens all about your topic (don't forget to include your site in your bio!).
- Create and begin an ecourse that teaches others some of what you know about your topic.
- Write up a press release announcing your service. Include some background information about your experience and knowledge and send it out to be published in magazines, newspapers, and ezines.
- Comment on blogs related to your topic and use your website link in the url field.
- Add digg and stumble upon icons to your articles on your website for visitors to share your article easily with others that might be interested.
- Use your blog to communicate and keep fresh content moving, update it daily or at least once per week.
- Talk about it! go on podcast shows and radio shows that are geared towards your target market, get intereviewed and just talk about it in general.
